We have walked through the majority of this cottage, but I could not end this series without showing you the last two main spaces in this home: the bathrooms.
If you saw my last post, I showed you the new kitchen in this sweet cottage. Now we are moving on to the living room, and what a transformation it is! Before the renovation, when you walked through this front door, you immediately saw a wall with a fireplace, which was flanked by built in shelving. The space was very tight and compartmentalized, but I saw great potential in this particular area. This room originally had one doorway going into the back den area, and one going into the main hallway. It was a nice space, but there was great daylight available through the front windows and the back door going out onto the deck. Natural daylight is the preferred...
I am going to take you through one of my recent home renovations! I've been so excited to share this transformation with you. This is the house. It is a charming 1950's home--or at least it was in its day. But with a little TLC,we have completely brought back its original charm, along with a few modern updates! We are going to look at the heart of the home first: The kitchen. This kitchen was dark and small with outdated wood cabinets. The client and I talked about possibly trying to paint the cabinets, but the fee would have been almost as much as new cabinets, so we decided to go ahead and replace them all-with custom specifications to meet...

I recently had a client come to me with a love for mid-century modern decor, and she asked if that was an option. I assured her that even though it was different than my other projects, it was certainly doable! Some design rules are universal. No matter what style you enjoy, it still has to be a functional, livable, usable space. In this home, the client was in need of a sofa, chairs, occasional tables, drapes, and a new light fixture. She needed optimal seating. It...
I've been so excited to show you Phase 2 of the finished office building in downtown Jasper. If you haven't seen the "before" post, you can find it here. The transformation is one of my all time favorites. I love the way the modern design blends with all of the vintage treasures we uncovered while renovating. The standout piece is definitely the locally made custom spiral staircase. It reaches up to the original ceiling rafters, making them a key architectural focal point. I also love how the glass walls create the feel of an open plan with abundant natural light. It makes this space very unique. I love how this office turned out and I want to share it with...
